Talk about future plans using ir + a + infinitive

Future with IR + A + Infinitive

The Easy Future Tense

The simplest way to talk about the future in Spanish is: ir (conjugated) + a + infinitive verb. It's like saying "going to" in English.

Voy a descansar.I'm going to rest.
Vas a ir al cine. You're going to go to the movies.
Vamos a salir a cenar. We're going to go out to dinner.

Making Invitations

Use "¿Quieres...?" to invite someone to do something with you.

¿Quieres venir?Do you want to come?
¿Quieres ir al cine?Do you want to go to the movies?
